I had to make contact with this GP practice on behalf of an elderly relative. To be honest, I was expecting it to be a nightmare having read the other reviews .... In reality, I was given an appointment slot within a hour and a half of phoning; the reception staff couldn't have been more polite and helpful; the doctor was attentive, gave my relative all the time required to express their problems and at no time made us feel rushed. Considering how stretched the service, I thought this experience was very positive. | ||||||

NHS advertising tells us to consult a GP for coughs lasting longer than 3 weeks. I rang the surgery on my half hour lunchbreak at 12.30 (not a busy time according to the recorded information). the call was eventually answered after 25 minutes. I tried to book an appointment for Thursday or Friday morning but was told to attend the walk-in centre that day. So got to the walk in centre just after 6.30 but was told i had to wait for an hour to an hour and a half. I thought a referral had been made for me | ||||||

Contacted the practice for the first time (been registered here for approx. 2 years). I asked for a routine appointment and I was told there were none available and to call back in a week!
I explained my situation and asked even if I could have a telephone consultation, I didn't warrant one of those either.
