Back in September 2022, my daughter developed a blood blister on her toe, attempting to get an appointment prior to going 4hours away to university didn’t go well but after phoning myself she was sent a link on which she was asked to send a photo of her toe. To cut a 8 month story very short, the receptionist phoned my daughter to inform her antibiotics had been prescribed, by Christmas and following her care being taken over by Coventry NHS Trust and being admitted with sepsis. Her toe was amputated and 4 months later it is still not healed. The duty of care is non existent and we both will be changing surgery, so sad as most of the staff do care and do try but since being taken over by Haxby Group and along with poor management the good reputation has dissolved away. | ||||||

I am extremely impressed by the care I have received from this practice. I know times are difficult for all doctors' surgeries at the moment, but I can honestly say the doctors and staff work so hard and do the best they can for their patients. The reception staff are friendly, and that makes a big difference. I was at another surgery in Scarborough 'Castle Medical Centre' and the receptionist in there were rude and in my opinion unprofessional. It is great to have moved to Haxeby and to get top class health care. I had both my Covid and flu vaccinations there. I regularly get texts messages from the practice reminding me about things like blood pressure checks. My partner and his parents are also patients here, and all of us have had a positive experience. Thank you to the staff there for their work! | ||||||

My honest opinion having recently had to deal with this poor excuse for a Doctors Surgery is FIND ANYWHERE ELSE INSTEAD. I am horrified by the level or in this case total lack of care given to patients, I called on three separate occasions to resolve an issue and although Caller Number One in the queue had to wait over 20 minutes on all occasions to speak to someone who then tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. All I wanted was a home visit for an elderly relative under their care to address serious failings in her care. They have changed an active, sprightly and sentient 80 year old into a chair bound, ulcer ridden shadow of her former self, shame on them and shame on what they have done to undermine many years good service from Dr Scarborough and his team there. Suffice to say the wheels are in motion to move this person away from them as quickly as possible and the official complaint process has started. Please if anyone has an elderly relative on their books move them away they truly are awful, it scares and worries me greatly that my relative is not going to be the only one in this situation, I am just thankful that I visited and for once got her to see sense and make the move away to what will be as it only can be a better Doctors Practice that were so kind when I was explaining the situation and showed more care and concern in a 10 minute conversation for a patient that was not registered with them then Falsgrave Surgery have done over the last two years. Covid or no Covid there is no excuse for this frighteningly awful lack of service, care, compassion or engagement. | ||||||
