If you’re looking to sign up to a new surgery I would recommend going elsewhere because you’d be more likely to win an Olympic medal than to actually get an appointment here. Once you do get that golden ticket of an appointment the staff are lovely but god forbid you need a follow up appointment because you won’t get it. Something needs to be sorted, it’s a disgrace. Don’t take on so many patients if you can’t facilitate them. |

When I have had appointments the doctors and receptionists have been helpful, however they seem to be severely understaffed - any phone calls take upwards of ten minutes to connect to anybody, and occasionally just hang up without warning. Getting an appointment is also almost impossible, they seem to only accept urgent appointments, and even then there's weeks or even months on the waiting list. |

Well where do I start, their is a MASSIVE miscommunication with mental health hospitals. I have recently come out of a hospital (mental health) and needed my repeat prescription, I put my prescription in ready to pick up 3 days later (The hospital had said they needed to stop my quatiapine and did not issue any) and when we picked up the repeat at heworth green doctors, the quatiapine WAS issued. (Their SHOULD of been a note on their system from the hospital). SO I ring the old ward who passes me to the huntington house who passes me on and on and on, I had already spoken to the doctors on the phone who simply said I should try and find out OR they would have to re issue the prescription which would take even longer as already waited 3 days! couldnt get an appointment before september 4th and thought it would be EASIER and quicker to get the correct information from the ward! HOW WRONG I WAS,even the ward didnt know what I was on about (and in the hospital they had NO recognition of WHAT medications I take at home! and so was giving me lower doses of everything which made me very ill with a hospital (a and e) admittance also (I ended up ringing heworth green from the ward to tell them this approx 2 weeks ago) WHAT A MESS THIS MIS COMMUNICATION CAUSES BOTH WITHIN DOCTORS SURGERIES AND HOSPITALS, I had already had MONTHS of wrong prescriptions or not issued correctly/ together which repeatedly SHOULD NOT HAPPEN,I am sick to death of bouncing between chemist/doctors and now a hospital admission, they are quick to section people but when you actually try and get HELP nobody knows what they are all doing (yet supposed to work together) ITS NOT FAIR ON PATIENTS AND NEEDS ADRESSING EFFECTIVELY if people are to WORK TOGETHER in the future. (you will be pleased to know I wont put up with this and WILL be moving doctors FORTHWITH. HOWEVER I INTEND TO TAKE THESE ISSUES FURTHER). |
