I am 28 weeks pregnant and developed a blister like very painful rash on my arm. I wanted the doctors to see me to see what this rash could be. But she said send a picture. She diagnosed me with Molluscum contagiosum. Gave me a cream for it. After 4 days of not getting better my rash went worse. I rang the doctor back demanding they see me. Even then they would not let me. I had to basically cry on the phone telling they how I was in pain and not getting better and how it's distressing for me being 28 weeks pregnant also. So when they finally agreed to see me they diagnosed me with shingals. Had they of seen me first they would of been able to treat me quicker. But because they would not see me they let my shingals get worse. Appalling. |

I am a sending this message on behalf of my father who is a patient at your practice. He is in his 70s with visible haematuria. He contacted the surgery on the 26/10 regarding this and was asked to drop off a urine sample which he did on the 27/10. His symptoms are ongoing. According to NICE guidance as he is over 45 if he has been treated for a UTI and symptoms persist he should be referred on a 2WW referral (he was informed he would be referred on the 26/10). However 16 days later he is unaware of the results of the urine sample or if he has a UTI. He could potentially have a urological malignancy. I contacted the surgery yesterday and was informed by the very helpful receptionist she would send an urgent message to the doctor who spoke to him on the 26/10 and someone would get back to us with an update. This has not happened. I myself am working as a respiratory consultant and it is of great concern that symptoms suggestive of?malignancy are being managed in this way. I tried to call again this afternoon but it is putting me through to the urgent care centre and your e consult is unavailable. I have tried to look for an email address to contact the General manager but unable to find one. |

Recently joined, had a good first initial appointment with a Doctor at the surgery. However since then it's been awful and have not been able to see that particular doctor since then. Some doctors are arrogant and ignore medical information given from specialists and try to dictate what the problem is. Particularly today saw a doctor and he had no interest in doing something. Will be complaining to the GMC. Reply from Leylands Lane Medical Practice Fri, 17 May 2019 10:50:51 +0100 I'm very sorry to read you feel you are receiving a poor service from the surgery. I know all of my Doctors would want to work with you to understand what issues you have. You have not provided me with your personal information but could I ask you to contact me at the surgery to discuss further. Helen Procter General Manager |
