I am a carer for my elderly Aunt and this GP surgery are excellent. They are supportive and helpful and we use the online messaging very successfully. The staff are polite and extremely helpful. This is both the reception staff and the nursing staff.

I have been a patient for nearly 20 years and have always found the doctors, nurses and reception staff very helpful, kind and willing to help in any way they can.There have been occasions when I have had to be admitted to hospital following a visit to the surgery and have been treated with respect and concern for my welfare. I feel truly blessed to be a patient at North Road Suite.

My wife has been unable to get an appointment until next Wednesday. She has been told that she should be able to get a better appointment online. How can that work...you either have an appointment or you haven't ? To get online we have to come to the surgery with registration documents,obtain password etc,go home,go online,then come back to the surgery ! Reply from North Road Suite Thu, 19 Mar 2015 15:58:29 Z First I am very sorry that these patients feels dissatisfied with our service so I would encourage them in the first instance to come and speak with me or Justin Wood our Reception Supervisor when they next visit the Practice so we can be of further assistance to them. I would like to explain that the Practice has contractual obligations as laid down by the Government/NHS England to offer a range of booking methods for appointments for our patients and this also includes ordering repeat mediation to viewing their medical records online as well as the traditional methods. At present the phone or face to face bookable appointments far outweigh the online bookable slots and I am sure that patients understand we want to be able as a modern Practice to offer a range of methods to enable patients to book appointments and access other services. Online appointments are not at the expense of phone bookable or face to face bookable. When a patient wishes to register for online services the reason we ask all patients to attend in person at the surgery and bring proof of identification is that by registering a person for ‘online services’ we are granting access to their medical records and we have to be ABSOLUTELY SURE WE ARE ONLY GRANTING ACCESS TO THE PATIENT – I am sure all Patients recognise how important this is. We have over 8,400 patients registered at the surgery our receptionists do not know every patient. The Practice only works to the highest standards of Patient Data Security and we cannot compromise on this. I am very sure that patients will understand this. I do hope this has gone some way to explain our processes and I would always encourage our patients to speak to one of the Senior Team Members so that we can offer help and assistance and at least give us the opportunity to so, it great to talk to patients so we have good two way information and it also helps us to help the patients.
