I find the Doctors very helpful. They listen, care and act. I have ongoing complex medical issues, physical and mental.
The staff are also supportive. I have had battles, which are ongoing for other parts of the NHS to actually provide the standard of care required and appropriate to my needs and reasonable expectations under Nice guidelines. The Doctors and there staff have always helped me and made me feel as if I actually matter and am more than just one of there numerous patients.
In times where it is hard to find anything like good customer service, particularly in the NHS it is fantastic to have the Woodhouse Hill Surgery actually caring and proactively helping.
It is easy to just moan about things and people who make the most noise are generally those with a gripe. I myself like to be 100% honest and open. Good service, as per what this Surgery provides to me should be celebrated and commended. Please continue with this level of service.
Thank you. |

On a day when my back was particularly bad, I hobbled into the surgery to make an appointment. I struggled to stand and used the counter to help me up. Sensing my pain the receptionist showed me so much kindness. Once my appointment was booked she asked if I wouldn't be better off staying the hour and half or so, as I was in so much pain. I explained that I hadn't eaten or had anything to drink so had better go home at which point she offered me a glass of water and instructed me to take a seat until I felt able to get to my car.
Only someone who knows pain can empathise with someone who is feeling it. The receptionist's tender care and understanding was exactly what I needed at that moment. I took a seat and once able I made my way home, the pain didn't miraculously go, but understanding and empathy I received from her was soothing for me.
Thank you so much, I won't forget your kindness. |
