My Mother has had a few appointments recently for various reasons. She has always been treated with dignity and the staff ( especially the nurse and doctor have been very kind and caring. We very much appreciate their efforts and can only praise them for their high level of professionalism and kindness. Thankyou | ||||||

Got an appointment within 90 mins of phone call. Seen within 10 mins of appointment time. I cant fault the Doctor at all. But the Nursing staff, superb! Very efficient and friendly, just what you need when you think your ill!! People moan about their doctors and nursing staff, so i am giving them all a big thumbs up. Its not an easy job!! Been back twice for results, still perfect!! | ||||||

I'm not sure if its standard practice but to get an appointment you need to call at 8am at the same time as everyone else which means repeatedly calling again and again for about 15-20 minutes. If your lucky at that point you will be given an appointment for a random time in the day which for any working person unless you work near the surgery is very hard to do. A few months ago I had to bite the bullet get an appointment get a train from work got there in time then had to wait 45min over my appointment time to see someone. Unfortunately the lady I saw was a Nurse Practitioner so was unable to do anything amd said i need to see a Doctor and would need to follow the above process again. I and I'm sure many others dont have time to do this so I imagine there are a lot of medical concerns going unchecked. I obviously have no idea how a GP surgery is supposed to run, but i really feel this process is putting a lot of people at risk. I have still not managed to get back so the concern i have is still unchecked and ongoing Reply from Broughton House Gp Practice Wed, 10 Jul 2019 17:09:06 +0100 Good afternoon I am very sorry you have had a bad experience at the surgery. If you would like to contact the surgery and ask to speak with the practice manager I am happy to speak with you regarding your concerns. We do have pre-bookable appointments but once these have been taken we book on the day appointments. We also have online appointments which you can access if you ask for a username and password when you are next in surgery. Please contact me to arrange a further appointment if you still have on going issues. We will be offering extended access appointments out of surgery time from 1st August, which can be accessed between 6.30 to 9.30 to help people who work. This will run from Monday to Friday and also Saturday morning. These appointments will be at Broughton House. We also have access to some late night appointments at Dewsbury Health Centre again between 6.30 to 9.30. I hope we can resolve your concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. | ||||||
