1)It is very difficult to get through on the telephone
2)If you are ill and need an appt. within the next day or two you have to get up for 8am and then start phoning, in the hope that by the time you get through there will still be an appointment available for you.
3)MY most recent experience :
I am on weekly chemotherapy for secondary breast cancer and my GP is monitoring my BP and my BP medication . If it is too high, I might not get my chemo.
I went online on Friday 23rd Nov, expecting to be able to get an appointment within 10 days.
There were no available appointments until Monday 24th Dec !
I then phoned the surgery, but they were unable to help me, until I requested to speak to a doctor about the problem.
Only after speaking to the Dr did I get an appt. prior to my chemo date.
Previously, when I first presented with Primary Breast Cancer, a Flag was put on my notes so that I could be given a priority appt. whenever I needed to see a doctor quickly.
This seemed to work really well, and I didn't feel the anxiety which I more recently experience each time I attempt to get a timely appt.. | ||||||

We’ve just RLMP for 4 years and every contact I’ve had for myself and my children has always been a positive one. I’ve seen several Drs and the practice nurse and Midwife. All staff have always been helpful, friendly and professional. The online booking service has made a huge difference in being able to get an appointment when you want it, and the reception staff have always been friendly and helpful when I’ve needed to speak to them. Highly recommended practice. | ||||||

Since my wife died nearly 2 years ago I have not been able to get a good nights sleep and this has affected my eating also. Round about 9 months ago I saw a doctor and told her of my problem sleeping and asked if I could have a course of sleeping tablets to help me get back into a normal routine sleeping, her response was " We do not give sleeping tablets we offer counselling, that is not what I need I need sleep and food to help me function instead of being a zombie. I have just been to the chemist to pick up my heart medication and one of the staff I haven't seen for a while told me I'm yellow and don't look well at all and should see a doctor, after my last experience and being refused the help I I wanted I have no faith in the doctors. | ||||||
