I am on repeat prescription for blood pressure medication, it now seems to be the " norm " to go down the " let's play a game " road.
I tried to place a repeat prescription this time to be blocked with a message telling me I cannot request anymore medication until I have a clinician review my current medication, ok so not a problem, slip along to the appointment page, can't book a slot within the next month, very bad service.
Had to go in to the surgery to make an appointment.
Managed to get one in 2 weeks, I run out of blood pressure medication yesterday, so now I have to wait 2 weeks.
Doesn't seem worth bothering with a review after 2 weeks, I've been told I can't just stop taking them ??
Well according to brant road doctors don't give a jot attitude I can.
Brant road surgery are giving me no option but to give up the medication, I have documented this so when it all goes wrong I do have proof.
Very annoying that I had to rate it's performance at 1 star ! |

As an older patient i have several painful and ongoing ailments resulting in permanent disability.
I have always found the staff helpful and friendly when visiting the practice and one doctor is a very friendly, helpful and very competent physician in my opinion, as are all the nurses and other clinical staff who have carried out many tests on me.
I have also found the reception staff to be helpful and efficient.
As a person with mobility problems, the adequate car park at the front of the surgery as well as the attached pharmacy, which offers a repeat prescription delivery service, are very helpful one stop extra facilities which greatly add to the convenience of this practice.
I generally order my repeat prescriptions and book appointments online, which is far easier than needing to do it by phone. However, no practice is perfect these days and if I have one major complaint it is the length of time it often takes to get an appointment with my own GP, which is sadly par for the course these days!
I have to say I have no reason to even consider moving to another practice as it provides for my needs well. |
