I didn't catch the name of the nurse who have my daughter vaccinations today for travel but wanted to say she was outstanding in her care as my daughter is needle phobic she did an outstanding job and made a stressful situation for my daughter a positive experience what a lovely lady thanks so much |

Attended the brookfields centre today for my cervical screening (smear test)
I’m usually a cherry Hinton patient, but as there were no appointments there I was asked to attend brookfields instead.
The receptionist was polite at check in and the waiting room was a typical waiting room which was clean and tidy.
I was booked in with the nurse for the quick screening procedure. I was welcomed in by a friendly, calming face.
Asked to check my details with regards to where my results would be sent.
The nurse proceeded to give perfect information on why we screen, what we are looking for specifically, what the prodcedure consists of, possible results and what they would mean in terms of follow ups or possible treatments.
I was filled with confidence on what can be an anxious time.
I was given privacy to get changed and my dignity remained intact through out.
The procedure was comfortable and I was informed of what was happening every step of the way.
I feel I received excellent care today and hope that anyone due to have their cervical screening will not hesitate to get booked in with the centre. |

We haven't had much interaction with the surgery but so far here is a sample of my experience.
Hostile attitude:
Having filled out our documentation to register we just needed to show a birth certificate for our son. I am English and my wife Danish and our son was born in Denmark so we downloaded it from the system and returned. We explained the situation to a different receptionist and she just shoved the certificate back across the desk and said 'well that's useless then in if it's Danish' We explained if the document was read it would be seen that it was both English and Danish.
Lost documentation
After all that effort they lost our sons documentation and requested that I come in again and fill it out. I asked if they could email a form, hey said no, it's on their website. I asked if they could email a link? They said no. Their ability to help even when they have messed up is non existent.
Cancelled 2 appointments
They cancelled not 1 but 2 appointments in a row for my wife. The first they text me as it is my number on her form. The second one they just didn't bother to tell her until she was standing in front of them. She was then blamed for not writing the correct email down and when she read it back it was one of the characters that was misinterpreted. She was then given an unwelcome lesson on how to write English (she has a masters degree in English). They justified not telling her of the cancellation on the fact they never communicate with any telephone number other than the patient. This was contrary to all the information we had had up until that point and contrary to the actions of the first cancellation.
I should say that the Nurse we have seen was lovely but the reception staff are less so to put it politely. Our personal feeling is we have been treated very disrespectfully. |
