Excellent medical Staff but impossible to reach the surgery by phone. Calls are either not answered or you are simply lost in the system. Only way to make an appointment is in person. The Receptionist told me that calls are not answered between 12.00 and 2.30 Why not? When I called into the surgery at about 12.30 there were 3 Staff in reception, two of whom were chatting to each other. Surely one of them could have answered the phone? The place is let down, it seems, by poor administration. It cannot just be due to "the cuts". The Staff are there so what is the Manager doing? Since 32 Clifton became part of the York Medical Group the service has declined very sharply. Also, impossible to find an email address for the surgery. I want to cancel an appointment with the Nurse. Cannot get through by phone and cannot find an email address. "Contact" button on home page is anything but. |

I have had nothing but trouble whilst being a patient at this practice. I can never get a doctors appointment, I have been deleted as a patient for not responding to a letter I didn't even receive, and every time I go to get a prescription I have a lot of hassle - this has never happened to me in any other doctor surgeries. I think it is very bad how patients have to go without their medications for no reason. As I am also on medication that makes me unwell when I am not taking it, to go without it is very distressing to me. I would not recommend this surgery to anyone. |

Once again I find that the practice at 32 Clifton, York is closed without any proper warning. A notice on a website is not good enough, especially after already making a wasted journey.
Why would anyone need to check if a surgery is open? It should be open for full days just like it used to be. Perhaps instead of operating this so-called group practice like an MI5 operation, they could maybe tell their customers (and I say, customers because we are no longer treated as patients) the truth and not keep us in the dark as to why they do these crazy things.
Apparently, on this latest occasion, they are closed because of half term. If that is the case then frankly I am disgusted, they should have plans in place but it would seem that the caring profession no longer exists so let's be honest about that.
No doubt if an explanation is forthcoming it will be full of the usual excuses but it would be interesting to hear nonetheless.
A doctors surgery should NEVER be shut except in emergency situations, not because of holidays.
I look forward to hearing from you. |
