I have been using this surgery for 18 years. over the past 3 years . I am finding it impossible to get an appointment . I live 10 minute walk away and a non driver , every time I ask for an appointment the receptionist says there is none, you can go to Talbot surgery which is another 30 minutes on a bus. if you live in the area of your surgery you should be seen in that area not send miles away. the receptionists have an obnoxious attitude ,and appear to be unwilling to give you an appointment at your local surgery ,.when I go into the surgery it is also empty so what are these doctors doing. We were advised that when the two surgeries merged, appointments would not be affected, and would almost certainly become easier to obtain. I am finding this process extremely stressful. | ||||||

After being in bed for nearly a day with flu I was bought to the surgery by my wife who herself is not well. I waited for 5 mins to see the doctor and I was then told that I was 8 minutes late for my appointment and would not be seen. By the clock in our car we had arrived on time. There were road works in Kinson Road and we had to figure out a way to get there.....and we did. In future when we make appointments we will now be asking what the time is on the surgery clock. Please don't assume that everyone has lived in Bournemouth all their life because they haven't. We were given a postcode for Talbot surgery (we did not know where it was) so I could go and wait between 3 and 5 to see If I could be seen. After re-phoning the surgery I managed to get an appointment for later that afternoon. We set the sat nav and ended up on a busy road with the surgery on the other side of the road and again had to try to navigate our way round to the entrance. When asking for directions I think that more than a postcode is required..
