I experienced abdominal pain on the morning of Xmas eve and suspecting an UTI called in at the Kennington surgery to see if I could see someone. Although no doctors were in at Kennington the receptionist made an appointment for me in Botley and by mid morning I has been seen, examined and prescribed medication. Fantastic. | ||||||

At least five other patients and I sat for up to 50 minutes to be told the GP was not in. I did enquire what was going on after 20 minutes of waiting and was informed the doctor was still with their first patient. Upon being given the bad news, I asked how this occured and am wholly unsatisfied with the answer but am not permitted to post it here due to the rules of posting. The practice offered us all other appointments within a week but am I very unhappy this situation occurred in the first place. If I was able to register for a different surgery I would but sadly i'm trapped in Kennington. | ||||||

When I have been in very poor health the reception staff have been incredible at arranging help. I have a disability which they make adjustments for. There are two GPs and a trainee who have been instrumental in helping me through times that I would not have managed otherwise. I am so grateful. General practise is hard, being on reception can be tough. From where I sit the team seem to be supporting each other more since the linking up with Botley. | ||||||
