New Park Medical Practice

This practice has plummeted in my estimation over the last 3 years. Covid is now long gone, and yet this practice continues with the ludicrous system of either same say or next day appointments only. An earlier reviewer mentioned it too. Everyone has to join a long queue of other callers at 8.00am sharp. Then, you're waiting while it's ringing away and is eventually answered by a receptionist. I eventually got through at 8.50am and was told that all appointments for that day had been booked, call back on Monday. This arrangement is absolutely hopeless; they're doing it to suit themselves, not their patients. The cynical side of me says that they're doing this in the hope that many patients will just get fed up and not bother. If they cared about their patients, they'd be asking for feedback - I have little doubt that the majority would state that they are thoroughly disillusioned now with this practice.

I Don’t feel like patients are important any more, when someone so poorly having had 2 open heart surgeries a lung operation and a broken sternum, can’t access care in the community you no something is very wrong we were left disgusted yesterday when doctor Hussain refused a community nurse to visit my husband he was in so much pain and very uncomfortable and yet dr Hussain walked past him twice in reception, she certainly did not have time to read the history notes and to be honest to make a decision that would impact massively on someone’s well being is beyond unacceptable, we need to know we can turn to our doctors when we are in desperate need, I haven’t accessed my Gp for more than 5 years now as I am losing so much trust in this practice to put patient care first, I have daughters at this practice and some of there care is also questionable.

Poor poor poor! The telephone system for appointments is a disgrace! Unable to get appointments unless you are able to scramble for appointments! At 8am to be stuck in a queue, and then be told all appointments have gone for the day, start the process again the following day! It’s terrifying our lack of access to care, at this practice.
