The carers seem very friendly and engage my mother as much as possible although she is very independent in her attitude. I appreciate the difficulty this can present and encourage persistence and distraction to achieve some objectives. Carers arrive close to expectation normally and subject to previous situations. Notifications of carers for the coming week is good but could be simplified for clients with Alzheimers eg simple list of days, times and names. The Monday Sunday period confuses my mother for example. The carers provide a social link to my mother and chat with her which is appreciated. I am grateful for all their hard work and care. |

When Care South first took over, my good carers were transferred with me. Until they left I had very good care. Because they knew me well they were able to observe if I was unwell. Recently however I seem to be having different carers each week. This sort of think is distressing for both carers and their clients. Carers lack job satisfaction, with the result that good carers often leave. For clients it can be really dangerous as carers who do not know them are unable to detect any variations for the clients normal. I certainly feel a lot safer with those who know me well. Unfortunately a variety of people carry out reviews and nothing is done about any complaints. |

I receive an excellent service of morning care, dinner and late calls. I am a wheelchair user and am assisted into the shower and made sandwiches for lunch. |
