I have come to trust and rely on Hartwig to help care for my lovely, elderly mother. They provide an extremely responsive and professional service and in two years, I've never considered using any other agency.

I absolutely rely on Hartwig Care to work with myself and my siblings to provide the best possible care for my mother with mid-stage Alzheimer's disease. Hartwig provide as much or as little care as you want (or will be accepted in my mum's case!). But no matter how small the weekly care allocation, the quality of care is exceptional. Carers are fantastic at seeing my mum as a person first and the disease second and establish good relationships with her, which is crucially important. I use Hartwig carers to prompt my mum to take her medication on a daily basis, now that she has gone past the point of remembering to take them on her own and the automatic pill dispenser was prized open. Beyond that, the carers check that food is in date, that past-date food is thrown away, that bins are emptied and do general cleaning and tidying. The carers also accompany my mum to medical appointments - as a working mum I have no other way to ensure that she will get to these appointments on time. Best of all, they accompany my mum to arts and social activities which really makes her day and the benefits of which have a lasting positive impact. The Hartwig Care Manager I liaise with is exceptional, regularly going above and beyond what is needed to help keep my mum safe and happy - everything from providing tea and cake for adhoc visits by my mum to Hartwig, right through to ringing around many facilities and medical centres to help me work out where my mum has got to. I can't imagine how I would cope in providing substantive support for my mum without the help of Hartwig Care. They are absolutely brilliant and I fully and sincerely recommend them to you.
