i would not recommend Ashwood care, gosport,as we have been with them for 7 months.I was told they train their staff. This is totally untrue. The training staff get is 15 minute video. So we have had people who have never seen a hospital bed or a hoist or other equipment. As a result we ve had situations where they do not know how to put a sling in place or how to position a client on the commode.I have to say the staff were all very pleasant. But management leaves a lot to be desired. They were not interested in sorting out any issues that cropped up,and were completely indifferent |

Today, Monday 15th September 2014 I visited your Stoke Road branch in Gosport with a letter from an elderly couple requesting that I be permitted to assist with their care plan organisation. Whilst I'm fully aware that you are directed by social services I feel I was treated like a suspect in a fraud case.
Regardless of my errand I was spoken to by one of your staff in a very unprofessional and rude way. Instead of being polite and accommodating with my request they addressed me as if I was a criminal and in fact could have forged the letter that I had delivered. Further to that, When I spoke to the same person before on the phone, on behalf of the elderly customer they said to me" what's it got to do with you, your just the cleaner". Well that is in fact true and indeed the only part that is fact. I may indeed be only the 'cleaner' but I do care about the two old people concerned and will ensure that they are treated in accordance with their wishes.
So sadly at this moment Ashwood Care you do not rate very highly in the table of care, but this is down to customer handling.
May I suggest that the staff member concerned undertakes a course in customer care, otherwise they will single handedly lose you customers, I say this simply because in my line of work, 'the cleaner' I am asked many times can I recommend a care company that will help! |
