I have been a private patient here many times over the years + an NHS patient many times and most recently.The month I have quoted(last visit) is approximate. Most visits have involved seeing either of 2 excellent orthopaedic surgeons as in/out_patients( mostly outpatients). Ironically, whilst both waiting areas are calm and comfortable, the NHS waiting area is more pleasant and comfortable. All the staff are welcoming, efficient and pleasant. The rooms are clean and very similar to most other privately run hospitals. Administrative functions work seemlessly and efficiently. The hospital was once a large private mansion and is found via a 0.7 mile lane beginning in Gisburn.It is an oasis of rural calm set high above a trout river and I have seen pheasants, horses, sheep, squirrels and even a pair of laid back peacocks in or close to the hospital. All in all Gisburne Park Hospital is a marvellous facility. Phil Hellawell
