traumatising and over medicated me to the point where i was sleeping constantly and i was kept there for way to long PICU says are meant to be 6-8 weeks and i was kept there for 15 months. this shouldn't be aloud at all. this place should be shut down and shouldn't ever be aloud to open again. and the staff shouldn't be aloud to work with patients ever again. and i don't understand how some of the doctors ever qualified!! this place is awful!!!!

Firstly I have noticed that some of the reviews on here are 5 star but when you read what is written it clearly should be 1 star why is this? The hospital is abusive and horrific. I still have post traumatic stress over the things I saw and experienced whilst there. There is no care or respect or dignity for patients. No one treats you like a person. My psychologist from home came for a meeting and was so horrified at what she saw she immediately contacted other psychiatrists she worked with and it was decided they would never send another one of their patients here ever again! This place ruined any progression I made at previous hospital and has meant I have never trusted another psychiatrist again. How this place is still open is beyond me.

I was not at all surprised when the hospital was given a rating of Inadequate by the CQC. New leadership at the top of the Huntercombe group had not made any improvements since their last inspection. I suspect the only reason this hospital remains open is because of the national shortage of CAMHS tier 4 care in our country.
