Usually ok here. We don’t usually wait very long and the staff are ok. Today we had a very different experience! A rude snappy nurse who spoke to my daughter like dirt! Unfortunately not the first time, we had the same nurse a few weeks ago. Very rude, sharp tongued and actually really patronising. She came last time on her own and came out to the car really upset because of the way she’s been treated so I now have to come with her because she’s frightened to come on her own. Professional nurses should act like professionals and at least be polite and sympathetic, isn’t that what a nurse is supposed to do? Receptionist had no idea what she was doing and had to keep calling in other staff who were all having a jolly time stuffing their faces with the door wide open so we could here all their conversation! She also took a card payment, not normally an issue but she kept the card machine where we couldn’t see it, didn’t show us the amount on the screen, tapped it using contactless without asking us if it was ok, didn’t give us a receipt - all making that an illegal transaction! She didn’t know how to use the machine and someone else had to come out and do it for her so that’s at least two staff who don’t know how to do card transactions properly. Good things - free parking. You now have a card machine so we don’t have to get cash (staff need proper training!) in house pharmacy so we don’t have to get a prescription filled elsewhere. We’ve seen other nurse practitioners there and they’ve been lovely, this one needs to adjust her attitude! Even the other staff were tip toeing around her so maybe this is her usual demeanour but it’s still not acceptable to behave like this towards people. Some people are very nervous in hospitals maybe she should make it an easy visit instead of a horrible one? Being kind to people is what your paid for surely?

i am very disappointed with how my daughter was spoken too , the nurse was very snappy and she spoke to my daughter like a piece of rubbish, the staff are usually very good but as for the nurse who was on today was not at all pleased .
