Attended A/E on a week end morning, 5 th in line. In great pain. Triaged within 20 minutes. After that left in cubicle, waited 2 hrs, nobody came to check I was ok, or offer pain killers, or tell me approx how long I would need to wait. In the end I called and asked, told next but one. Dr ( I assume, didn’t introduce himself) was nice, gave me strong pain killers which worked quickly and I was grateful for. Gave me prescription for three different medication to take home. However concerned that nobody ever asked me a medical history or what tablets I was already taking for other things. Only thing I was asked was if I had Allergies.
I called the Pharmacy next day to ask if all the medications went with each other , and in one case was doubled up so didn’t know what dose to take. It was ok for me but scary anyone else with something far worse Original Comment Report... |

I'm a retired silver-top gent from Walton Bay, enjoying the location for retirement and have been rarely ill during my life. I arrived at this hospital Tuesday evening with acute stomach pain. By midnight I had been evaluated, diagnosed, tested and given a CT scan. Before 9.00am Wednesday morning I met the surgeon and given the options to resolve my problem. By 2.00pm I was having the operation to remove my appendix, and today [Saturday] I'm feeling so good and back to normal and at home. Obviously I will take it easy over the next two weeks, but would like to send my sincerest thanks & gratitude to the 'Whole Team' who delivered over and above. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOLKS Original Comment Report... |
