my son was injured in a rugby match on wednesday 4th october approx 4pm, shoulder and concussion. We came into A&e where he was observed for the concussion, xrayed for the shoulder. After 4 hours, there were concerns my sons pupils were not the same size leading to ct scan and referrals to Bristol, he was admitted to hdu ward early the next morning and remained in hospital for another night, during that time seeing eye specialists, other consultants re arm/shoulder and having mri scan. He finally left hospital some 48hrs after first coming into childrens A&e. I cannot thank all of the nhs staff for their support, concern, compassion and professionalism, working under so much pressure You as chief executive should be mightily proud of all staff, no matter their role nor seniority, as they were amazing throughout. We can thank you enough for what you do and i apologise for to being able to name colleagues specifically but hopefully this can be fed back to all involved..... |
