Im always treated with respect when visiting the Rheumatology department. This department is in holsworthy is ideal as it's saves me running to Barnstaple. The staff are fantastic, it's clean and very welcoming.

I can not thank the staff at Holsworthy Hospital for the nursing care given to my brother in his last days . He was being cared for at home but was getting increasingly more uncomfortable .A swift transfer to Holsworthy Community Hospital and he became calm knowing that there was someone trained there to help both him and us , his grieving relatives. Nursing him at home before that was a very frightening experience none of us being trained making decisions for him , respecting his fear of having to go to Barnstaple and his wife who could not drive because of epilepsy being unable to get to him quickly if needed. Being there at least one of us could be with her constantly in his last 2 days on earth. We couldn't have asked for more. Closing the hospital means you are robbing people of this as we all know there are not enough beds in the local care home

after losing my dad at the age of 84 in holsworthy hospital in 2013 of cancer the staff helped us so much through his short illness we could visit every day at any time or night he felt really at home in 2015 my mum was admitted after a major back operation spending nearly 6 months there at the age of 82 all the family took turns to visit as it is just down the road its not just for the patients its good for family as well its a loving caring hospital please dont close it
