My feedback is regarding the poor communication of medical information between hospitals and GP surgery. I have had three operations for cancer since November 2022, each time I receive a letter through the post, they dont appear on my patients record. I have sent copies by email and taken them into the surgery personally and asked for them to be added. My wife attended Dermatology in July 2023. As a result, a new medication regime was recommended by the consultant. After numerous attempts to get the new medication at the GP clinic, the letter from the consultant is still not on her records and her prescriptions have not been updated. I wrote an online prescription request after requesting the dermatology clinic to send me the letter by email. Given the high tech world we live in today, there must be a better way for hospitals to update patient records at the GP surgery other than letters send by email or post?
