In October I spent almost there weeks recovering from major liver surgery which I received at Newcastles freemans hospital at the cockermouth community hospital .the care I received from the nurses and doctors was exceptional if you are worried about going into hospital then there is no need to be at cockermouth there are 11 single rooms the food is lovely and well presented and comes extremely hot , the nursing staff could not have been more attentive and helpful and welcoming on arrival and throughout my stay , if you have to be unwell then the cockermouth community hospital is the place to take care of you to the highest standards. It rates a 10 out of ten in all aspects.

I telephoned today to arrange for a specialist medicine which GPs are not qualified prescribe. The very helpful lady who answered the call sorted everything. She didnt put me on hold. She didnt transfer me to another department. She simply took ownership of the issue, checked my medical records, contacted the consultant and arranged for my medicine to be prescribed for me to collect locally. What a wonderful service that is. Im just sorry I am unable to name the clerical officer who so pleasantly and efficiently dealt with my enquiry. I am so impressed. Why cant other organisations have staff who own the problems and provide solutions so well. Thank you.
