My husband has just come home after 12 days at the Richardson. The quality of care can not be faulted. All staff are professional, respect patients wishes and their dignity and nothing is too much trouble for them. They excelled expectations in keeping me informed and worked in liaison wth the physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure all the equipment he needed on discharge was personally delivered to our home.
Standards of cleanliness are exceptional and thorough. The meals are very good and patients are able to have lunch together in the dining room rather than sitting in bed with it.
Unlike the big hospitals the patients televisions free ( not £25 for 3 days). This makes a big difference for the mainly elderly patients who can ill afford the extortionist prices that Hospedia charge. The bedside telephones are also free for patients to use so they can keep in touch with family.
