Two months ago as joint carer for my Mum who has Alzheimers I contacted the RIACT team in Darlington as I had hit a crisis point in my Mum's care. A representative from the RIACT team came out that same morning and by the end of the day RIACT had put in place an arrangement to provide carers twice a day to help to bed bath and change my bed bound mum until the Continuing Heathcare Assessment took place. I cannot praise the service provided too highly. All the individual carers who have visited my Mum have been professional, reliable and treated my mum with great dignity and affection. I know that the caring community are often criticised so I wanted to pass on my praise and thanks to the RIACT Darlington team. We are very lucky in Darlington to have this facility and service. Their support at a difficult time helped me to keep my Mum at home where she wanted to be. Mum's care has now been passed across to another caring organisation releasing the RIACT team to carry on caring for others in the Darlington area who I am sure will appreciate their support as much as I have. Thank you all again. Regards Jane . Original Comment Report... |
