Many thanks for the excellent care and service I received at Shotley Bridge when I broke my wrist. From the appointment being made by 111, followed immediately by a call from Urgent Care to attend sooner, so that I would I would be able to have an Xray at Shotley before that department closed, the care could not have been better. I avoided A&E at Durham on a Friday evening and had excellent kind care from all staff with no waiting. Thanks also for the great service and care at the Plaster Room at Durham the following morning. I feel fortunate to have such service. |

I was having a mole removed on the day surgery unit. The staff were kind and friendly they made me feel welcome and reassured. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I was kept informed at every stage of the procedure. Then given very clear instructions for after care. The set up that they use by giving patients their own room meant that my husband was also welcome to wait and felt very comfortable doing so. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone. |

After a horrendous experience at UHND (for a different issue) last week which is resulting in a serious complaint, I feel I have to feed back about a positive and excellent experience today at Shotley bridge hospital. I was here today for a pelvic scan (and also physio in a separate appointment which was also helpful). The staff were friendly, lovely, kind, professional, reassuring and explained the scan and that all was ok - a totally different experience to last week. I actually felt cared about today and what a huge difference this makes to me. Thankyou to the two staff who I’ve seen today for my scan (and also the physio), please send my thanks to them. |
