I came in today for an operation at 7.30am, not knowing that it can be cancelled as I was not made aware of this during my pre-assesment. When I came in the nurse came in and said your first on the list so everybody wanted to get my bloods questionnaire as soon as , during this time I had fainted due to bloods taken. I was all set seen by the anesthiest the assistant even drew on my back were the incision was going to be made, there I was waiting while everyone else was getting called in, and I thought itss 1pm whats taking so long, not one of the nurses on the ward I was in checked if I was okey by this time I was with no food or water for over 17hours. i was still there at 15.30 fell asleep waiting when the nurse came in with Im really sorrry but the other operarion ran over time and yours is cancelled but with no information what Im suppose to do did not feel a care in the words they said as obviously there finishing soon, like they were in a hurry to finish work, i thought nurses were caring compasionate. I dnt want this to happen to future patients and if you have a policy of operations getting cancelled for such reasons please have it in fine print on your admission letters or the consent forms as some patients will not be able to read or even know how to go on the internet. This is also for patients who work and are not felxible if things like this happens, the money you spend on parking tickets etc.
I felt embarrased and no respect was given to me not even given a chance to wait and speak to my doctor, no dates set for the next suregery admission. No care from nurses and very incensitive. Original Comment Report...

We're sorry to hear about your experience and that you were unhappy with your care at the hospital. What you describe certainly falls short of what we expect for all our patients. We'd like to understand a little more about what happened so we can look into this for you.
