Just had an inguinal hernia operation done at John Coupland Hospital under local anaesthetic and from my initial consultation 3 weeks ago to the operation yesterday I can honestly say the whole team were fantastic. The team were professional but had a friendly and caring approach which put me at ease for my operation. They had the time to explain everything that was happening and I never felt rushed, they really couldnt have done more for me. The consultant was brilliant, such a skilled and efficient surgeon and a really nice chap too. I even received a follow up call from a nurse the next day to see how I was getting on after my operation! If I ever need another hernia operation in the future John Coupland Hospital will be my first choice without doubt. Thank you so much to all the team in the Surgical Day Care Unit!
