Castleford Home for Older People provides accommodation and personal care for 45 older people. The home is located close to the centre of Clitheroe. Accommodation is provided on two floors in 45 single bedrooms. 14 of the bedrooms have an ensuite. The home is divided into four units, known as Henthorn, Eddisford, Castleview and the Rehabilitation Unit.

Jan 17 2016 On the 20 th of December my mother Christina Jones arrived at Castleford from hospital for rehabilitation.From the moment she arrived she was treated with the utmost care.My wonderful mum had been through so much and at last she felt safe and respected.. Three weeks into her care my mum deteriorated and it was assumed she would have to return to hospital.My mum refused and signed a dnr form.On the 11th of January she passed away peacefully.She was surrounded by the lovely staff of Castleford.My husband John and myself were cared for by the wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I would especially like to mention one nurse who gave my mum her last refresh, you are unique an angel on earth. All staff are amazing, helping you to face up to losing someone you love.Thank you also to the night staff whole I meet fleetingly on mums last nights.
