At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that meals are a very important part of our Residents’ day, our menus cover a variety of choices for each meal and a choice of snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are also available 24 hours a day.
Family and friends join Residents for meals which are served in one of our dining rooms or, if our Residents wish, they can choose to eat in the privacy of their own rooms.
Hobbies and interests
Our Activities Co-ordinator spends time with Residents to ensure popular pastimes are included within the weekly activities calendar which is displayed in the home, this includes:

• Themed cuisine
• Coffee mornings
We have regular outings to local places of interest including the local bowling green and Cenotaph Park.
Outdoor areas
Popular with Residents, our attractive courtyard garden is a great place for garden enthusiasts, who have access to the greenhouse and who also enjoy helping to keep the raised flower beds looking good.
The open and secure patio area offers tranquillity for Residents to relax or socialise with family and friends.

Dec 24 2015 Nursing care for mother here has been excellent. The wishes and needs of the resident are put first before any other consideration such as any operational convenience for the home. When the NHS failed mother over the availability of emergency dental care the team went that extra mile to ensure that she was found treatment and, despite her other pain issues, and the difficulty transporting her, got her to the dental surgery whilst demonstrating care and compassion throughout.
