On my recent stay here, I have found it to be a warm friendly and a happily inviting one
The lounge chairs and curtains in each room, the reception area, and in all three TV lounges and the quiet rooms were replaced. New and client friendly tables and comfy chairs in the dining room, which looks out over the gardens and duck pond, make it a light and airy and even more inviting for the residents
.
I'm a Coeliac, (Gluten/Wheat free) but I found both
staff to be very able and accomplished Chefs, both very well versed in this, and other food allergies and needs also
Both chefs were willing to cook me separate special meals if and when I required, and their breakfasts were for me, superb! Nothing was too much trouble for them, well done guys!
The food standard generally is above average I found, and plentiful to see you throughout the day
The care staff were the best I've encountered in care homes so far, pleasant, friendly, amusing and caring. Willing to have a laugh at any time. But respectful of each clients privacy when required or asked for, their clients special needs and cares are taken into consideration at all times .They are willing to take the time needed for each of the residents, I arrived, and left pressure sore free, not the case in other homes sadly
Housekeeping are hard working ladies in the home's in house laundry, they provide
above standards of care to bedding and personal clothing, plus around the home is kept very clean and tidy too
The extensive gardens are well tended and the general upkeep of the home is top notch
The management and all of the office staff are a all very friendly group of ladies, willing to chat with clients and really get involved in the daily entertainment events each morning, provided by Elsa and others, residents enjoy the varied events and are happy to get involved too
I enjoyed my time here immensely. It was such a relaxing time, a time for me to unwind, de-stress myself and recover my much needed equilibrium.
A huge thank you to each of you for that
Would I return?
DEFINATELY YES.
(If they'd have me that is)
Regards to all
