Care Management Group Magnolia Cottage

Magnolia Cottage is a specialist residential service for adults with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. Service users are supported to develop person centred plans and health action plans using accessible and alternative forms of communication that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence.

Our experienced team works in partnership with families, carers, advocates and public service professionals to ensure that the support provided is pro-active and appropriate.

We actively follow the principles of Person Centred Planning, Person Centred Active Support, SPELL and Intensive Interaction. This ensures we support service users to express their wishes, make choices and take part in meaningful activities, with the ultimate aim of increasing their independence, self esteem and wellbeing.

Our Total Communication Programme approach enables staff to implement individualised communication strategies for service users with severe communication and sensory difficulties.

We support service users to choose and take part in activities that develop social, communication and life skills. These range from support in daily life skills such as cooking and gardening through to college placements, voluntary and paid work placements and social and leisure activities in the community.
