Nov 19 2013 My mother, who is severely disabled, has been a resident at Sutherlands for the past 8 years. Throughout this time I have found all the staff to be friendly and extremely caring. At all times the family are consulted and kept informed of any changes in the care plan, any need for my mother to see the doctor, or any concerns in my mother's well-being. For those who are able, activities take place on a daily basis and periodically outside entertainers attend. Relatives are encouraged to get involved as much or as little as they wish. Residents can have their own furniture if they wish and the rooms are spacious and clean. Hospital type beds are now the norm with air mattresses if required. I cannot fault Sutherlands and am so pleased we chose this home for our mother.
