Nov 25 2021 My relative experienced two falls in her first nine days here. The second fall resulted in a fractured hip, an injury which ultimately led to her death. My experience can best be understood by reading the decision of the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman filled under Cornwallis Care Services Ltd ref: 20 001 924. I was wholly disatisfied with the response of this home which had been inspected by the CQC and given a 'Good' rating only 4 weeks earlier.

May 29 2017 My grandfather had been a resident here and was cared for brilliantly. Recently when he was at end of life stage, they allowed his daughter (my mum) to stay with him 24/7 and luckily I was also there for his last few hours. The staff offered us advice, food, drink, a bed and compassion.

Feb 3 2014 My Dad is now a resident at Trecarrel. He is well looked after and the staff are all very friendly. There's a nice atmosphere and people working at Trecarrel seem to enjoy their work. My Dad's room is a reasonable size and has a lovely view over the gardens and St Austell Bay. Sometimes Trecarrel can be a little bit smelly - but that is the only negative point I have. It'd be great if they could spray an air freshener around a bit more often!
