Norley Hall Care Home

Our mother has been a resident in Norley Hall Care Home for nearly 5 years. In that time we have been extremely happy with all aspects of care provided to mum. The manager her deputy and staff have always supported both mum and us as her relatives with any changes to mums health and well being especially when formulating and updating her care plans. Nothing is too much trouble and there is an open door policy to speak to the manager and her deputy both of whom we cannot praise enough should we feel the need to contact them. All staff are polite and greet everyone with a lovely warm welcome. The owner of this care home is regularly updating the home. The home is very clean as are all the residents rooms. We have been encouraged to bring mums personal belongings into her room to make our mother feel at home. The food is first class and residents have a good selection and variety of foods to select. There are regular trips out and i have accompanied the carers several times to trips to the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool with the residents. Other outings have included a canal barge , trips to a local Sensory Farm , regular outings to dementia cafes etc. Entertainment is provided and a varied selection of activities for residents to join in with are provided within this care home. It's such a shame only the negative aspects of care homes hit the news it would be wonderful to show the other side of what an excellant care home can provide. If I were in a position to score Norley Hall I would recommend it have a rating of outstanding.
