High Peak Short Break Service

My daughter uses this service, I also have a teenage son and Im also a single parent , I could not manage everyday life without this service, the staff are fantastic, highly trained and very welcoming, my daughter has very high needs and these are met here, I have complete faith in both the caring staff and management, it’s like home from home and my daughter love it there, I hate to think what mess we would be in without this service.

We have used this service regularly for many years It has and continues to provide much needed respite from the daily requirements of caring for our 45 year old Downs Syndrome son. He has complex medical needs requiring frequent attention due to having transplants in both eyes. We have always had complete faith in the staff who care for him during his visits to which he always looks forward. They make every effort to ensure that his visits are happy and fulfilling. It is a service of which the County should be proud. John

I cannot praise too highly the service we have had from Hadfield Road since it's inception. Our 45 year old son looks forward to his regular visits which have helped to give him some sense of independence as well as providing us, as carers, with much needed respite. I have never had any concerns over his treatment by the staff who have always been approachable and willing to accommodate his specific needs. In short - this is a very valuable service and any diminution of provision would be highly retrograde. Barbara Kemp
