My spectacle frame from a large national chain was broken. It refused to repair it and demanded over £300 for a new one. I visited DW Roberts in Stony Stratford. The person I spoke to immediately said their firm could do the repair for £20 in around 4 working days but that the repair would not be as good as new. Two working days later I received a text message that the repair had been completed. When I received my spectacles back I was delighted to find that the quality of the repair did make them as good as new. All of the staff I spoke to were polite and helpful. This was first class service at an astonishingly low price. It may be a cliche but it was of an old fashioned kind that modern chain stores simply do not achieve despite extensive "customer service" training for their staff.
