I had my sight tested last week at Quirke Opticians in Boots (Hull) I found all the staff extremely helpful and polite but where the opticians are located is ridiculous. The waiting area and where the glasses are displayed are just as you walk through the doors. It is a busy thoroughfare, there is no privacy and hardly room to move. Today I went to purchase some new glasses and ended up walking out in frustration. The area is so cramped there was hardly room to move let alone see the glasses. The fan heater above the door was blasting out heat so making It very uncomfortable and extremely noisy. Why cannot you either negotiate with Boots to have the doors permanently closed and everyone use the main entrance or relocate to the first floor which would provide more privacy. Choosing new glasses is very important decision and therefore can be quite time consuming. It is also a very expensive decision which should be made in pleasant, private relaxed surroundings not squashed into a busy thoroughfare
