Opening Times listed here do not mention closure for lunch... pharmacy has a notice on front counter saying "closed, open at 2pm"... many people need service between 1 and 2pm as this is the only window they have from employment elsewhere to shop for/collect pharmacy items. |

I phoned the pharmacy today to make an enquiry. Usually the Staff are very pleasant & helpful, but on this occasion the lady I spoke to made it very clear that I was nothing but a complete nuisance. I realise that they are very busy & under pressure, but her attitude really upset me, especially as I'm very unwell at present. Actually it made me cry. |

This review relates to today’s experience only - on the whole I find the staff and service great, but today I was left seething!
On Saturday I called to collect my repeat prescription and was told it just needed to be checked and would be a few minutes. I said I’d pop back when I finished shopping, but for a number of reasons I forgot and then was unable to get back during pharmacy opening hours until today.
When I collected today (Monday) there was a “fridge” item that had clearly been left out in the bag with the other items. I highlighted this and the pharmacist interrupted the team member serving me and said “that’s because you said you were coming back. That’s cost £500”. The phrase “you were going to come back” or similar was repeated a number of times in an overly assertive manner.
Yes, I had said that I was coming back which I had every intention of doing, but as I grown adult I found the pharmacists tone aggressive and unpleasant. Surely whilst the medication is in possession of the pharmacy it is their responsibility to put it back in the fridge if not collected?
having looked online I find the cost would have been closer to £120, not £500. So the pharmacist was clearly exaggerating to make a point and to make me feel bad. But I would not intentionally do something that would cost the NHS unnecessarily, and for me it feels like there is a process missing in the pharmacy to prevent this happening.
I felt belittled and humiliated in front of a queue of other customers, and would certainly give the pharmacy a wide berth if this pharmacist was present in future. |
