I have just changed pharmacy because this one made yet another mistake on my prescription and I've been without my drug for a week. There is no apology ever and they expect the patient to go and sort it out with the doctor when it's their mistake. |

I have been using this pharmacy for the past year and a half following a stroke. In that time they have given incorrect quantities of medication and tried to supply me with different medication from that on the prescription. However, today 20th June 2016 was the last straw. This pharmacy has refused to refund me my money following my claim for exemption from prescription fees, despite pointing out the information they were asking for on the NHS prescription refund letter I provided along with my complete FP57 Receipt and Refund form.
The pharmacy provide me with medication to control high blood pressure, so I might point out that anyone dealing in medication should be aware of what it is used for and the affect that might happen should they actually unnecessarily stress the patient out over a minor issue. The first time I tried to obtain the refund, this morning, the assistant refused point blank saying that the letter was no good. I might also point out that because of the stroke I suffer with speech issues and have difficulty talking clearly. Being dismissed by the assistant, at this time felt demeaning, in the shop in front of other customers. After not getting my refund I felt I might of misread the NHS refund authorisation letter so left and went home to check it again.
When I read it again, it clearly states all the information they require for the refund. The letter also states that I can take the form and letter to any pharmacy and get a refund. But no, I decided to take it back to this pharmacy and try again pointing out that I would like them to read the letter. Despite doing so and getting another assistant to check both assistants said that the letter was no good. I asked for the manager and was told that they were not there, but if they were, they would tell me the same as they have. So what's the point in having a manager if they know everything. |
