Whether you're under the weather or on long-term medicines, managing and collecting your prescriptions can add unnecessary extra stress. In the UK, the pharmacy model hasn't really moved on in the last 70 years, and we're working to change that.
Our pharmacies
We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.
As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

I collect my prescription from transit way in Tesco as it suits my working hours and my home location. I experienced a man speak to a women in A manner I wouldn't speak to my dog.
Yes his prescription was not at the pharmacy nor ready. This human who calls himself a man called his Dr surgery and at this point I held back and acted as i was shopping.
Whilst speaking with his surgery lordly so all could hear and on loud speaker. He asked a female member of staff to speak with the receptionist. The lady took the call and had a great response not only to the man but the surgery receptionist in her response.
GOOD AFTERNOON- THE PATIENT IN QUESTION SAYS YOU HAVE ISSUED A PRESCRIPTION FOR HIS MEDICATION. I AM NOT ABLE TO LOCATE A PRESCRIPTION ON THE TRACKER. COULD YOU PLEASE PROVIDED ME WITH A BARCODE.
The receptionist again whilst on loud speaker as the MAN wanted said. FOR WHAT ITEM.
THE PHARMACY STAFF MEMBER REPLIED SURELY iF THE PATIENT HAS SPOKE WITH YOU AND YOU HAVE ASSURED HIM HIS REQUESTED ITEM HAS BEEN ISSUED, THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL ME.
The receptionist confirmed NO prescription has been issued.
Politely the staff member said to the phone handler and the customer in store in front of the que of which this horrible man was present and wanting all to hear his conversation.
Thank you for confirming you have not issued any items. Please again inform Your patient and assure him of when you may or will issue this item.
The staff member passed the pitiful man his phone. Wished him a nice day and stood and said
'Next please.'
How can you justify its acceptable for that lady to one be spoken to like that. Yet carry on like it's normal.
When I collected my prescription and purchased some ibuprofen & collected ny prescription which was ready and i had recieved my text message. I said never stop smiling. You where a credit there. She replied thank you. Have a nice day Sir.
Did that lady go home and think

Can't complain about the service the staff always try there best to serve as quickly and professionally / friendly as they can be! Never a long wait and always upfront with wait times can't complain
