I received a text informing me that my prescription was ready collect, I am spending a few weeks away from home at the moment and today we drove an hour and a half to pick up said prescription,we arrived at 2pm and I went to the pharmacy only to be told it was closed for lunch, I said I had driven an hour and a half but was told This has been happening since February, I said I didn't know and was told it was on the website, I don't do the website and was then told it was on the door, thoroughly upset I left and to my chagrin said for gods sake! I now have to make another journey, what is the point of customers being encouraged to use the pharmacy,you can't get your GP neither your pharmacist!

We went to our local Boots to use the Minor Aliments Scheme on the recommendation by or GP, as we asked for a repeat prescription for our daughters hay fever to satisfy our daughters school policy, we was assured our GP that Boots would provide this service but we would have to take our daughter with us. We have bought hay fever medication already for our daughter but it needs the white label that a Pharmacy will attach in order for the school to accept this. We were told that they do not offer this service at all! I called my GP who states that they get funding in order to provide this service, so should provide this. It appears that Boots are not fulfilling the obligation under this agreement and the GP stated that this is not the first time. So we had to wait until the next day, with this being after 1800 and go to our local Weldricks who had no issue in doing this for us and explained that there is a service in place at all Pharmacies to do this. Poor show by Boots, especially as this was for a young child. We will not be using Boots again and this also means we will not be buying any other products from Boots. They did not offer any explanation and told us we would have to buy the medication and they would not be putting any labels on the medication.
