Whether you're under the weather or on long-term medicines, managing and collecting your prescriptions can add unnecessary extra stress. In the UK, the pharmacy model hasn't really moved on in the last 70 years, and we're working to change that.
Our pharmacies
We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.
As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

Received a text to tell me my prescription was ready for collection. Joined the queue outside the shop which has been the norm lately eventually got served to find 4 items short. I asked when the items would be ready and was told how long is a piece of string. Only the Pharmacist and 1 staff member serving and the Pharmacist was giving flu jabs. When is Well going to employ more staff at this extremely busy Pharmacy. Incidentally still waiting for a text 2 days later

Getting used to joining the queue outside the shop. Went to collect my prescription today after being texted to say it was ready for collection. When eventually getting served was 4 items short and when I asked when it would be ready was told how long is a piece of string. Only the Pharmacist and one lady serving and the Pharmacist was giving flu jabs. I don't blame the overstretched staff but blame the management at Well for not employing additional staff at this very busy Pharmacy.
