I have been using this pharmacy for fifty years, and had no complaints until it was taken over by Cohens. I now am unable to order my repeat prescription and know that it will be ready within a couple of days, which is annoying enough, but what happened this week is beyond belief! After a week and one day, I 'phoned to see if my prescription was ready, only to be told it hadn't been made up yet as they had been 'very busy'. I then asked if it could be made up so that my daughter could collect it for me. Half an hour later, my daughter asked for my prescription only to be told that it had just been given to someone else 'who had the same name'! No apology was offered, but a new prescription was prepared, all in all, taking up nearly an hour of my daughter's time! No check had been made when the original prescription was handed over - and the drugs contained therein could kill anyone trying to use them. I am planning to move to a different pharmacy as I no longer trust this one. It needs investigating!

I called at the Cohens chemist on Glebe St Ashton under Lyne today after giving them a week to prepare my husbands prescription. Not only was it not ready I had to wait over half an hour for it to be dispensed. This company took over from a chemist which we never had any problems with ie with returning for drugs not available etc and certainly never had to wait this length of time for a prescription to be dispensed. The staff are run ragged and we never seem to have more than one pharmacist on. What’s happened to checking the prescriptions???? I was the third person who said they would no longer use Cohen’s and would be changing to Lloyds pharmacy who are far more efficient.
