I've finally had enough of this branch of Boots and the bungling buffoons who dispense the prescriptions. I have some chronic health conditions and require bi-monthly prescriptions. In addition, I recently had an arterial stent and required 6 months of specialised blood thinning medication which required to be dispensed for 6 months only, and no longer. Every single month when I go to collect my prescription, there are omissions, errors, items out of stock and medications given to me which absolutely should NOT have been given to me, in spite of their own printed labels on the dispensed medication, which clearly read, 'Do not prescribe after the 1 September'. These strong blood thinning tablets were dispensed by one pharmacist and checked by a second one and then given to me for 4 months longer than permitted and the error was only picked up by me when I looked back at the date of my heart operation. I frequently receive the wrong type of insulin, and the wrong type of GTN spray and have to return it and read the prescription back to them out loud in the shop. Every repeat prescription involves multiple trips back to correct mistakes and collect missing items. At the time of writing, I am still waiting for a back order of prescription medicines which should have been with my order a month ago. It simply seems to be chaos in this branch but the sheer number and regularity of dispensing mistakes is dangerous, unprofessional and warrants further investigation as to the competency of the pharmacists. I will now write to my GP and ask that future repeat prescriptions be sent to Lloyds Pharmacy who hopefully can't be worse than the clowns at Boots. I have been very careful to make sure that everything I have written in this review is accurate and truthful.
