Jan 19 2016 My mother has been a resident here since May 2015.I have nothing but praise for the caring team who look after her.From apractical /safety point of view they have a purpose built brand new interior with lots of natural light,wipe clean floors,grab rails,state of the art buzzer system,and well maintained hoists etc With ensuite bedrooms,all with new furniture,and purpose built beds,which can all be individualised.My mother feels safe there and that means alot to us as relatives. The staff are all very caring,cheery and genuinely appear to enjoy their jobs.The manager is very approachable and responsive.The owners are young and enthusiatic,flexible and very understanding,who live as a family right next door. One hears so many negative anecdotes about care homes ,as a health professional myself I have been pleasantly surprised with the whole experience at Highland House and I cannot praise them highly enough.
