Belamie Gables Care Home

Belamie Gables is home to my dad. Dad is 93 and has vascular dementia. Dad has lived with my sister and I until 4 years ago when life became a struggle. Belamie give such a warm friendly welcome and take excellant care of my dad. The care we are afforded for dad is extremely professional and secure and safe. We are well informed of everything. Dads room is lovely and comfortable , his needs are well taken careof, in fact I think he is well spoilt. Thank you Belamie from the bottom of our hearts, this is such a release of pressure knowing dad is cared for so well.

My dad was discharged from hospital and came straight here. He had terminal cancer and severe dementia and we were told he probably had approx 6-9 months to live. We were hoping that he would last that long and hopefully make the summer and do some gardening, sadly he passed away after two and a half weeks. The care that the management, staff and the residents showed to my Dad, brings me to tears. They tended to his every need and always made sure he was included in everything that was happening, even if he wasn’t aware of it. The staff are so caring. In his last few days and hours, they all took it in turns to sit with him and make sure he was comfortable and it really gave us peace of mind to know that he was always being looked after. The atmosphere there is lovely.
