A very good and caring care home. My partner, suffering from dementia, has been a resident since the end of October 2017, following a fall at home, and a spell in hospital. She was very frail and needed a wheelchair on arrival, but now thanks to the support of the staff she is getting back on her feet again. One reason we chose St Andrews was that visits are welcome at any time of day. I visit daily, and all the staff have become like family - they are so welcoming and friendly. Accommodation and food are excellent - I had Xmas lunch at St Andrews with my partner, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Rooms and facilities are excellent. Crisis response is very impressive. One day a resident had a fall, and immediately alarm bells sounded and staff were helping her from the floor. She was found to have grazed her arm, and paramedic backup was called. A second resident, a diabetic, then had a hypo, and another ambulance arrived just 10 minutes after the first. Well done St Andrews! We had a family lunch at St Andrews on March 4th to celebrate my partners birthday, and she, and we all enjoyed the meal so much! This is the best restaurant in the area!! |
